Sony has revealed the three games joining the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup in August, offering subscribers a mix of open-world survival, cooperative adventure and psychological horror.
PlayStation Plus subscribers have another varied month ahead. Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis will be available as the service’s Monthly Games from August 4 through August 31, 2026.
The August selection covers three very different styles of play. From the zombie-infested streets of Dying Light 2 to the relaxed cooperative exploration of Big Walk and the unsettling retro-inspired horror of Signalis, the lineup gives players several reasons to make room in their libraries this month.
Dying Light 2 leads the August lineup
The biggest name in the selection is Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, available on both PS5 and PS4.
Developed around a post-apocalyptic open world, Dying Light 2 combines first-person combat, parkour and survival mechanics as players explore The City, a dangerous environment shaped by rival factions and a devastating viral outbreak.
Players take on the role of Aiden Caldwell, a wanderer searching for answers about his past while becoming increasingly involved in the conflicts that define the city. Choices can influence relationships, alliances and the direction of the story.
The game also supports up to four-player cooperative play, allowing friends to explore the world together and experience how different decisions can lead to different outcomes.
For subscribers who have yet to experience Techland’s sprawling take on the zombie survival genre, August provides an opportunity to jump into one of the more ambitious games in the monthly lineup.
Big Walk offers a very different kind of adventure
Also joining the service is Big Walk, a cooperative multiplayer adventure for PS5.
Rather than focusing on combat or traditional survival mechanics, Big Walk is built around teamwork, communication and exploration. Players travel through a wide-open world filled with puzzles, challenges and unexpected discoveries, working together to navigate the environment.
Communication is a central part of the experience, with players encouraged to use different tools and toys to stay connected and solve problems. The game also emphasizes simply spending time together, making the journey itself part of the experience.
That gives Big Walk a particularly distinct role in August’s lineup. While Dying Light 2 asks players to survive a hostile world, Big Walk is more interested in what happens when exploration becomes a social experience.
Signalis brings psychological horror to PS4
The third Monthly Game is Signalis, a psychological survival horror title available for PS4.
Set in a surreal retro-tech world, Signalis follows Elster, a technician Replika searching for her lost partner and attempting to uncover the mysteries surrounding her journey. The game combines exploration, puzzles and disturbing encounters with nightmarish creatures.
Its melancholic atmosphere and cosmic horror influences make Signalis the darkest entry in the August lineup. For players looking for a more focused and unsettling experience after the larger worlds of Dying Light 2 and Big Walk, it offers a very different kind of adventure.
A bonus for Marvel Tōkon players
Sony is also offering an additional PlayStation Plus benefit in August. Starting August 6, all PlayStation Plus members can claim a MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack through the PlayStation Store.
The pack includes five character-inspired avatars featuring Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider, along with a collection of in-game Result Screen Character Poses featuring 20 characters.
The pack will remain available until August 6, 2027, giving members considerably more time to claim the bonus than the monthly games themselves.
A diverse month for PlayStation Plus subscribers
August’s lineup is notable for its variety. Dying Light 2 offers a large-scale open-world experience with combat, parkour and cooperative gameplay. Big Walk focuses on communication, exploration and shared experiences, while Signalis delivers a compact dose of psychological survival horror.
The three games will be available to eligible PlayStation Plus members from August 4 until August 31. Sony also notes that the Monthly Games lineup may vary by region, so subscribers should check their local PlayStation Store when the games become available.
For subscribers looking for something new to play in August, PlayStation Plus is offering three distinctly different paths: survive the apocalypse, take a big walk with friends, or descend into a surreal nightmare.
