The firm will also produce a series of stickers and sticker albums. The deal covers UK and Eire, France, Germany, Italy and Spain

Penguin Group (UK) will publish The Ultimate Official Guide to LittleBigPlanet. The book will include hints and tips about the game and a customizable poster and access to exclusive downloads. The deal is for English language worldwide, excluding North America.

In the clothing category, Aykroyds and TDP Licensing are on board to produce children’s nightwear and underwear for LittleBigPlanet in the UK and Eire, while Smith and Brooks have the license to manufacture a range of boys and girls outerwear and leisurewear for both LittleBigPlanet and Ratchet and Clank.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) appointed Target as the consumer product licensing agent for PlayStation software IPs in April 2009.

Helen Howells, global brand director at Target Entertainment Group said: “We are really pleased to have such great licensees on board working with us to develop our kids strategy across both of these very successful gaming franchises… and this is just the beginning.”
