Sega Europe expands outdoor toy range

Sonic bikes, skateboards and sporting toys to hit retailers including Argos later this year.

Sega Europe is expanding its outdoor toy range, with several new licensees on board.

Netherlands-based outdoor toy firm Global Industry BV will develop a range of Sonic branded skateboards, scooters and roller blades alongside folding chairs, tents, sleeping bags, water guns and sporting goods.

The products are set to launch in Europe in October this year.

Meanwhile, Universal Cycles will develop a range of bikes, scooters, skateboards, skates, helmets and bike accessories across the UK and Ireland. Argos has already placed initial orders.
