PlayStation toy ranges on the way

Target Entertainment has been appointed to deliver a licensing programme for Sony?s PlayStation games.

The firm has been appointed as the Consumer Product Licensing Agent for PlayStation software IP.

The deal covers Europe & Australasia on all consumer products (excluding PlayStation peripherals and PlayStation specific accessories). Target will develop ranges of PlayStation toys and plush, stationery & gifts, apparel and accessories, housewares and food.

Stephanie Freeman, Licensing & Peripherals Manager at SCEE commented, “Many of Sony Computer Entertainment’s ’s first party software titles and characters are now recognised by millions of people around the world – from the legendary Ratchet and Clank through to the iconic Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet.

“We really want our consumers to have the ability to interact with our brands and characters in ways other than just on screen. We feel Target Entertainment Group has the vibrancy and experience to help us do this successfully.”
