Nintendo has lifted the lid on launch details for its new video games console - the Wii U.

It will be released in the UK on November 30th, and will be priced at around £250 for the Basic pack, £300 for a Premium bundle and £330 for the ZombieU sku, as revealed by MCV.

The Wii U includes a tablet controller, with its own screen, which can be used as a standalone console if someone else needs to use the main TV.

The Premium pack will include a copy of the NintendoLand game and a Wii Sensor Bar. An accessory pack will be available, including a Wii Remote Plus, nunchuk and sensor bar.

A Wii U showcase tour will run from late September to early January across the UK.

Nintendo did not show off its Skylanders-style Near Field Communication technology in its launch detail video late last week, which can detect certain items, such as figures, being placed on the tablet controller.

NPD told ToyNews it does not expect the new Wii to heavily eat into toy retailer margins this Christmas.
