Mega Bloks announces Halo Toymation 2012

Halo Mega Bloks fans are once again challenged to create stop-motion films with the toys.

Mega Brands has relaunched its Halo Toymation contest after a successful first year. You can see the winners of the 2011 competition here.

This time there are five animation categories which fans can submit to: action, comedy, drama, classic and sports, and entrants are allowed to submit one video per category.

The Grand Prize winner for best video will bag themselves around $6,000 worth of Halo Mega Bloks gear, including:

The complete autumn 2012 Mega Bloks Halo and Halo Universe Collection (including Forward Unto Dawn)
A custom-built bronze Spartan Figure
A 15-inch MacBook Pro, the latest version of Final Cut X
A Canon Rebel T4i decked out with accessories
Toon Boom software
A custom-built light-up Cortana figure trophy
A personalised Mega Bloks Halo nameplate
Winnin video featured on the Xbox360 Halo hub, Halo Waypoint.

Category winners will get themselves Mega Bloks Halo goodies worth around $1,500.

Submissions open on September 1st and videos must be sent in via the minisite by October 25th. For a full list of rules see here.
