LEGO unveils new wave of Minecraft play-sets

LEGO has unveiled its latest collection of four Minecraft play-sets scheduled to hit retailers this summer.

The new wave of Minecraft-inspired sets features various locations from the hit videogame, as well as an exclusive LEGO and Mojang co-creation titled The Desert Outpost.

Kicking off the new line is The Dungeon play-set, priced at £19.99. This set challenges kids to fight off the advances of a horde of zombies, while mining for gold ore and redstone. The set includes three minifigures with assorted accessories, Steve and two Zombies.

Meanwhile, the Snow Hideout I priced at £39.99 and places you in the middle of an icy mining expedition. Minecraft fans will be able to build their own Snow Golem to ward off the exploding Creeper. The set also features a Steve minifigure with accessories a Creeper and a Snow Golem.

At £59.99 The Desert Outpost features a house, lookout tower and a fortress, all designed to keep the roaming skeletons at bay. The set features two minifigures with assorted weapons and accessories as well as a wolf and two skeletons.

Completing the line-up is the Nether Fortress, priced at £69.99. With this set, kids can take on the red-eyed, fireball shooting Ghast to obtain the chest containing diamonds and a golden sword.

The set features three minifigures with assorted weapons and accessories: Steve, Alex and a Zombie Pigman, plus a Blaze and a Ghast.
