The AR.Drone 2.0 was launched to the public by its exclusive UK distributor Flying Toys at The Gadget Show Live this week.

Operating from an AR.Drone 2.0 branded stand, Flying Toys drew a crowd with constant demonstrations of the gadget.

The smartphone and tablet controlled quadricopter was named as one of the Top 20 Gadgets of 2012, one of the 50 Must-Have Gadgets for 2012 and was also one of the Top Ten Toys in the The Gadget Show Live's hub theatre sessions.

"As we all know, gadgets are definitely not just for adults. See the very best toy based gadgets of 2012, it’s never too early to start that Christmas list," says David Rawlins, MD of Flying Toys.

Flying Toys is currently taking pre-orders for the AR.Drone 2.0 from both consumers and the trade.
