Anki, the team behind the battle-car racing game Anki Drive, is gearing up for success with a significant double appointment.
The firm has called on the expertise of Joby Otero, the former creative director for Activision’s Skylanders and Craig Rechenmacher, a veteran of Electronic Arts.
Otero joins the firm as its chief creative officer, while Rechenmacher steps in to the role of chief marketing officer.
The pair will now aim to step the Anki Drive line up a gear and deliver a more robust interactive experience for all players.
Anki has also revealed its plans to strengthen its gaming foundation and creative vision to bring ‘a new dynamic to the toy space.’
Billed as the next evolution in the toys to life category, Anki Drive cars feature in-built computers and cameras, enable the cars to steer and battle for themselves, as robot racers fight to outsmart their human competition.
