The firm has said it will launch a series of 52 shortform animations in Autumn, and may also release a film, but not until after 2014.
Nick Dorra, head of animation at Angry Birds creator, Rovio, said at a MIPTV in Cannes: "We're going to roll out a weekly animation series later this year of shortform content. We're going to roll it out on all possible devices."
When talking about the film, Dorra said: "It's in development, but it won't be out in 2013 or 2014."
Peter Vesterbacka, marketing chief, added: "We want to make Angry Birds a permanent part of pop culture. We're just getting started."
Rovio went on to say that the content will tell more engaging stories, such as why the birds are always so angry.
