The In Thing’s recent half-price offer on Lil Kinz got off to a flying start in The Entertainer.

Stuart Grant, buying director, The Entertainer, told ToyNews: “We only received our first container of Lil Kinz stock last week so there was only a handful of stores that actually had stock before the weekend, but we still managed to sell well over 1,000 units which was a very positive start to the half-price promotion.”

The In Thing is currently offering the plush toys with a 50 per cent discount at 99p. The range will be TV advertised from January to August. 18 characters are currently available in 9cnt CDU’s.

Paul Jackson, The In Thing's MD, commented: “The Entertainer was the first national to see the potential of this amazing offer and requested specific Dump Bins to be made for each store so as to prominently display this introductory offer.

"Retailing at just £1.99, this superbly made plush line was always going to fly off the shelves and The Entertainer's initial figures prove this.

"With substantial TV support booked until August, this is our biggest product launch of 2011 and I am sure this is the start of huge things to come.”
