Toys R Us is gearing up to launch new digital store maps designed to help consumers during the annual Christmas rush.
Across the US, shoppers will be able to use their smartphones to scan a QR code on a physical store map outside the front of each shop, to help them find toys and promotions inside.
The digital map will launch on November 28th to coincide with Black Friday and will be updated as new products enter the stores, reports Retail Week.
The toy retailer will also launch a live chat facility as well as roll out a mobile-optimised gift finder, enabling shoppers to search for products by a child’s age and interests.
The initiatives have all been designed to aid shoppers to navigate Toys R Us stores during the busy shopping period.
