US: Toys R Us launches new movie service

More than 4,000 titles available and no subscription required.

Retail giant Toys R Us has unveiled a new digital entertainment service called Toys R Us Movies, although it's only currently available in the US.

Powered by Rovi Corporation, the service features more than 4,000 titles for streaming or download.

Movies start from $2.99 for a 24-hour rental and $5.99 for a licensed digital download or stream. TV shows start at $0.99, with the majority priced at $1.99.

The site also features a Wish List tool, which allows users to add movies and TV shows they would like to view to a special listing, which is saved to their account.

A TRU Movies app will also be available for Tabeo, the new wifi tablet designed and developed by the retailer. Tabeo is due to launch in the US on October 21st for $149.99.
