The North American Toy Fair is expecting to draw a ‘massive crowd’ of international visitors when it opens its doors in February 2016.

With two months still to go, the fair is already reporting an early surge in international buyer registration, up more than 50 per cent year to date.

Nearly 4,700 buyers have pre-registered, spanning 83 countries, helping the fair grow its international clientele numbers by 54 per cent on last year’s show.

Toy Fair 2016 will take pace on Saturday, February 13th to Tuesday, February 16th at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, where organisers expect to see nearly 30,000 visitors attend from across the globe.

“Though registration has been open for just a few weeks, the number of represented countries expected at Toy Fair has grown by 54 per cent year to date,” said Marian Bossard, TIA’s SVP of global market events.

“We are thrilled to see that so many international play professionals have already signed on to attend the largest toy marketplace in the Western hemisphere. With nearly 30,000 visitors expected from around the world, Toy Fair 2016 is sure to be a whirlwind of energy, activity and product innovation.”

Buyers form the likes of Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco, HSN, Target and Toys R Us will all be in attendance, while Disney, Sesame Workshop, Warner Bros and WWE have all pre-registered.

“Whether you are looking to broker lucrative business deals, network with peers from around the world, take in the hottest toy trends, or participate in business building seminars, Toy fair is the place to be for anyone with a stake in the magical world of toys and play,” said Bossard.
