Toys R Us UK records £2.6m loss

Latest financial results reveal that the retailer has gone into the red.

Toys R Us’ 79 UK stores made a pre-tax loss of £2.6 million in the year to January 28th 2012.

The retailer turned over £476 million but distribution costs, admin expenses and £11 million in interest payments led to the loss.

In the previous year Toys R Us made a profit of £9.9 million.
