Toys R Us has secured its first two retail locations in Southern Ireland as the toy retail giant embarks on its plans to take on Smyths.
The retailer will occupy the Westend Shopping Park in Dublin, comprising of 10,000 square feet and the Parkway Retail Park in Limerick, boasting 17,800 square feet.
Toys R US Ireland chief executive, Brian Donoghue has since outlined his plans to open ten stores in Ireland.
“We are delighted to have chosen Westend Shopping Park and Parkway Retail Park as the location of our first two stores,” he told the Retail Gazette. “These locations gives us great exposure to our consumer.”
Earlier this month, Toys R Us revealed its plans to open ten stores n Ireland over the next five years, in a bid to take on Smyths, currently the country’s most popular toy retailer.
