Toys R Us runs Christmas TV ad competition

Encourages families to upload their top festive pictures to be included in ad.

Toys R Us is offering its consumers the chance to appear in its Christmas TV advertisement.

Families can upload their best festive pictures on Facebook for a chance to win a free Venture Photography shoot, £500 to spend on Venture wall art and to star in the TV ad.

Two runners up will have their photos incorporated into the timeline image on the Toys R Us UK Facebook page during December.

Entrants can upload images to The Big Family Album until early December.

Fans can share images with friends and family or create their own Toys R Us Facebook timeline cover.

A winner will be selected and announced on Facebook, with the winning photo appearing in the ten-second TV ad that will air during December 10th and 16th.

Toys R Us Marketing and eCommerce director Mike Coogan said: "We totally understand the importance of Christmas to our customers, and this year we want to help them enjoy the season as much as we can.

"Christmas is all about family and what better way to celebrate than with a Family Album."

Toys R Us' UK Facebook page has over 85,000 likes and the retailer wants to push this to 100,000 in time for Christmas.
