Toys R Us eyes up Polish market

Retail giant looking for new opportunities in the territory.

Currently operating in 33 countries, Toys R Us now wants to enter the Polish toy market, estimated to be worth zł.2 billion.

The firm is reportedly looking to open the first stores in the territory later in 2011 and is already recruiting for key positions. It has also been reported that the retailer will be looking to recruit people involved in the founding of Polish toy store Smyk.

To begin its foray into the country, Toys R Us is interested in shopping malls and areas measuring between 1,500-2,500 square meters.
