Toys named in Mail on Sunday Ultimate Gift Guide

Flying Toys sees a sales boost after the AR.Drone features in the list.

The Mail on Sunday Ultimate Gift Guide picked 94 gifts and gadgets to get for dads and lads this Christmas, and a few techy toys made it onto the list.

Although the list is in no particular order, Parrot’s AR.Drone secured the coveted number one spot and had its picture included in the feature's double-page spread.

The Hornby Digital Train Set was also named in the list, as was apptoyz appWheel – an iPhone accessory designed for use with racing apps.

The coverage is good news for the exclusive UK distributor of the AR.Drone, Flying Toys.

"The prestigious Mail on Sunday 'Ultimate Gift Guide' is sure to increase exposure considerably at the best possible time, whilst many consumers are busy choosing presents during the first weekend of December," said the firm's managing director David Rawlins. was named as stockist for the toy and Rawlins told ToyNews that the coverage had already achieved the desired result. He said: "We are pleased to confirm receipt of a repeat order for the Parrot AR.Drone from Firebox already this morning, and are anticipating a great response from this Mail on Sunday Christmas promotion."
