The Entertainer to host summer Pokémon campaign

The Pokémon Company International has partnered with the UK multichannel retail The Entertainer for an exclusive Pokémon promotion.

From August 20th, fans of the collectable trading card series will be able to pick up a special Collector’s Album for free in order to display their Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion XY – Ancient Origins cards.

To help drive awareness of the summer campaign, The Pokémon company has readied a marketing campaign to run across various kids’ magazine titles, including Toxic, Kick, Kraze and National Geographic Kids.

Meanwhile, London’s Westfield The Entertainer store will be getting a head start on the Pokémon campaign as it celebrates the upcoming opening of the Pokémon Animation Studio at KidZania.

The west Londonshopping centre’s branch will run a special promotional activity from August 14th until September 16th, offering the free Collector’s Album to all young fans.

Customers who present their Kidzania proof of purchase at the store will also receive a free Pokémon Trading Card Game sample pack.

The Entertainer will host Pokémon-themed windows featuring popular characters from the series, as well as a meet and greet with Pikachu on August 22nd.

The campaign follows the success of last year’s partnership between The Pokémon Company International and the family-run retail chain.

“This one is perfectly timed for the end late summer holiday and back to school period. We are particularly proud of the special window display in Westfield London, too.”
