The Entertainer’s Westfield Stratford City store has seen sales drop after a nearby car park was closed for the Olympics.

Australian property firm Westfield shut the car park next to the Olympic Stadium for three months.

The call to close the 5,000-space car park by the shopping centre came from the Games organisers Locog.

Gary Grant, The Entertainer's MD, told Retail Week the closure had caused the store to miss its daily revenue target by 50 per cent.

“I don’t know why it has been closed for three months for an event that lasts a month,” he said.

Westfield said the car park had been closed over one month ahead of the Olympics to "ease the organisational process".
