The Entertainer has announced it will be opening two new stores in Spring 2017 in Truro and Northampton. These new locations will bring the retailer's total number of UK outlet to 133 plus 9 located overseas.

The Truro store will be The Entertainer’s first store in the county of Cornwall and will be located in the town’s thriving high-street. The Northampton store will be located in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre in the town centre. Both stores will create new jobs in the area and with Northampton opening ahead of the Easter holidays.

To celebrate the two official store openings, there will be a Grand Opening Day with activities in store, special costume character appearances, in-store demos for the latest hot toys and special seasonal promotions.

Each shop will also celebrate its Grand Opening with a special trolley dash for a local charity, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

“We have a solid footprint right across the UK on both the high street and in shopping centres," commented Gary Grant, founder and managing director of The Entertainer.

"We are really excited to be expanding our retail base early on in 2017, and are particularly excited to be opening our first toy shop in Cornwall, which will be our furthest store west in the UK.”
