The Entertainer, working with franchisee The Zeta Group, has opened its first store in Azerbaijan.

The 5,500 sqft store is located at Port Baku Mall, a premium mall recently developed by Pasha Construction LLC.

The grand opening of the store saw children meet their favourite characters (Hello Kitty, Power Rangers, Darth Vader and Storm Troopers) and enjoy activities including face painting and toy demonstrations.

H.M. British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Irfan Siddiq, was the honorary guest of the ceremony.

“It’s great to see British brands entering the Azerbaijani market, it reinforces the global affinity and closeness between the UK and Azerbaijan," said Siddiq.

Duncan Grant, founding family member of The Entertainer, added: “This is a fantastic looking store, I am certainly very proud of it.

"Looking at the store you would not know if you were in Azerbaijan or in Westfield, London."

Khalig Ildirimzade, chairman of Zeta group, said: “We are very pleased to be working with such a well-known and trusted brand like The Entertainer and are were truly impressed with The Entertainer's wealth of experience, resources and values.

"The two companies have ambitious expansion plans within next three to four years.”
