Tesco has confirmed its toy category manager, John Stanhope, has left the grocer.

Stanhope was appointed head of Tesco's toy division in February 2011. Prior to that, he worked as the supermarket's senior video game buying manager for two years.

A Tesco spokesperson confirmed the news to ToyNews, but "wasn't in a position" to say what's next for Stanhope.
