Strong start for Poppy Cat toys

Sales of branded Poppy Cat consumer products - including toys - have increased 17 per cent.

Coolabi's hit pre-school brand was boosted following the successful launch of fresh toys and books at John Lewis' Oxford Street store.

Poppy Cat (pictured, left) and the voice of the character, Joanna Page (pictured, right), made an appearance at the store earlier this month.

Mummy bloggers also attended the event, which has seen the number of Poppy Cat Facebook fans rise 33 per cent and Twitter followers increase by 6.5 per cent. 

Christine Nicholls, from Poppy Cat’s master toy partner Golden Bear, said: "We are delighted with the response from the John Lewis event. The brand is new for us, and to get such a boost in sales so early on heralds great things for the collection going forward."
