National radio DJ and broadcaster Matt Edmondson is making his way to Board Game Club to host rounds of his new celebrity rhyming game, Obama Llama.
Edmondson will be descending upon the monthly, adult gaming evening as Board Game Club hosts its first retailer curated event, with a games menu selected by Firebox.com.
The event will take place on the evening of Thursday, October 22nd, and will host the usual eclectic mix of games that regulars have now come to expect.
“The popularity of games is very much on the rise and this year we have got our strongest line-up yet,” said Cara Davies, PR manager at Firebox.com.
“Just in time too, as everyone knows that Christmas Day is crying out for some new games to play. We pride ourselves on being the first to market with innovative and edgy products, which is why Firebox.com is home to armfuls of weird and wonderful party, dice, board and card games that some won’t have played before, like Obama Llama.
“Board Game Club is the perfect place for us to show them off to press and public and get people excited about new and genuinely innovative lines in this category.”
Board Game Club’s Lesley Singleton, added: “There’s an incredible affinity between Board Game Club and Firebox.com – our attitudes couldn’t be more aligned, this is such a perfect partnership for us.
“Having Matt join us for the night too is a real treat. His energy perfectly complements what we already do, he’s going to add a real spark to the evening and we all know that nothing brings a game to life quite like having the inventor there to host it.
“Obama Llama has been going down brilliantly with everyone: celebs, journalists, games fans – so as much as I am thrilled to see him hosting the games, I can’t wait for him to experience the sheer delight of seeing lots of people enjoying his creation.”
The night will take place at the Cellar Bar beneath every Hotel Piccadilly in London’s West End from 6pm to 11pm. Entry is strictly by pre-approved guest list only.
