Colchester indie Osborn & William has been named as the Good Toy Guide’s Retailer of the Month for March.
The store has been championed by the team for its selection of both traditional wooden play-sets and dedication to contemporary toys.
Based in the small village of Dedham, the toyshop offers a variety of ranges for children aged four and upwards, providing an alternative to the big name chain stores.
Run by a team of mothers and toy lovers, Osborn and Williams aims to provide the experience of gift buying for children, with ranges suitable for birthdays, christenings, new babies and more.
“We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to be named Retailer of the Month,” said storeowner, Allison Ilsley.
“We put so much time, energy and love into our little shop. We try our very best to create a delightful atmosphere and bring fun, interesting and well made toys to our gorgeous customers.
“So, to be recognised for our good service means the world.”
Dr. Amanda Gummer, founder of the Good Toy Guide, added: “It is great to see small shops mixing both traditional wooden play with today’s modern toys. The Good Toy Guide is proud to support small retailers such as Osborn and William and we hope our support helps many remain on today’s competitive high street.”
