Mothercare says its UK like-for-like sales across the group have risen by 3.4 per cent in the 13 weeks to October 13th.
The firm has attributed the increase to its sales of own brand pushchairs and car seats.
It also said its like-for-like sales had grown by nearly four per cent at its Mothercare stores and almost two per cent at ELC, which it acquired in June.
"We're very pleased with the strong performance. The UK is on track, International is booming and the Internet is growing very rapidly as well," Mothercare CEO Ben Gordon said.
"We think we've got the two best parenting brands in the world under one roof now," he added.
The firm’s first-half results will be announced on November 22nd.
