Firebox has secured an exclusive for Ghost Hunt – a game made by Megableu which was a top seller in France, Belgium and Japan last Christmas.

Ghost Hunt makes ghoulish figures appear on walls via the projector character Billy Bones. Players are then challenged to shoot the ghosts with the included laser gun. See a video of Ghost Hunt on the Firebox website.

Firebox explains how the game works: “Billy Bones sees dead people - or more accurately, he uses his phantasmagorical powers (or infrared lights) to randomly project ghostly visions around the room from his eye. The aim of Ghost Hunt is simply to shoot those creepy suckers with the laser gun and whoever blasts the most wins the game. Every time a ghost is shot, Billy Bones screams and the world is a safer place.”

Ghost Hunt's UK launch will be supported with a nationwide TV advertising campaign starting in October.

Ben Redhead, product manager from Firebox said, “As soon as we saw the game we knew it would be perfect for Firebox. It’s just really, really good fun, looks and sounds very cool and definitely has mass market appeal; this could be a Halloween hit and a dead cert for Christmas. What’s not to like?”
