Frozen's Elsa is the bestselling Disney princess on eBay, claims research from Terapeak.

The market research company has found that $3,397,816 has been spend on Elsa products on eBay, with the majority being in the doll and costume categories.

"Demand and sales volume [for Frozen] have increased rapidly," Terapeak's Aron Hsiao told ToyNews.

"The charts for both Frozen products and for Elsa products are very, very close to one another over time, but average prices and bids per listing have remained relatively constant over the period. This basically means that supply has continued to expand to meet demand, which continues to be high."

60 to 70 per cent of Frozen listings on eBay are for toys and dolls, with the Anna and Elsa combined doll set proving "particularly popular."

"Costumes and outfits appear to be around 20 per cent of listings, varying by week, with dresses being the favourite," added Hsiao.

"Another five to ten per cent of listings are non-costume apparel, t-shirts, pajamas, and other Frozen-themed 'regular' clothes.

"Also of note, around 20 per cent of the costumes and outfits listed are for women, rather than girls, many offered by Chinese sellers direct from mainland China."

Terapeak's list of the top Disney Princesses' eBay earnings is as follows:

1) Elsa - $3,397,816
2) Cinderella - $2,504,259
3) Snow White - $2,301,831
4) Anna - $2,165,120
5) Ariel - $1,483,384
6) Rapunzel - $598,056
7) Aurora - $215,856
8) Merida - $282,188
9) Jasmine - $253,102
10) Tiara - $84,882
11) Bell - $6,867
