Mark Irving (pictured right) has joined Firebox as head of online marketing. Irving previously held the post of online marketing manager at Debenhams where he worked for nearly four years.
Irving will be responsible for building brand awareness with strategic and tactical SEO, pay per click and affiliate and promotional partnerships. He said: “Our first priority will be to concentrate on rapidly growing the company and truly establishing the brand in the minds of shoppers looking for fun, entertaining and exclusive products.
He added: “Firebox is well known for choosing innovative and quirky marketing campaigns over more traditional methods to attract new customers. Working on interesting, effective and challenging marketing campaigns is an exciting prospect.”
In communications, Andy Stafford joins from PR agency Beam. As the retailer's senior PR manager, he is tasked with growing events and developing experiential, video and social activity.
Stafford has worked in PR for 12 years developing experimental promotions for clients like Amazon, Fujifilm, Nintendo, Sony Ericsson, Griffin Technology and Thumbs Up.
He said: “Having worked for communications agencies for the last several years I am thrilled to be working in-house for such an incredible brand such as Firebox. I’ve long admired the company and am really looking forward to working with such a fantastic dynamic team.”
