Firebox.com is targeting fans of retro gaming with its latest launch, The Question Block Lamp.

The touch-sensitive 8-bit cube can be hung from the ceiling or displayed in its retro pixel-style stand, and users can turn the light on and off by fist-pumping it from beneath 'like a certain Italian plumber'.

The Lamp also emits 8-bit sound effects when turned on and in a previous life was a Kickstarter hit, smashing its $100,000 goal to the tune of $131,479.

The Question Block Lamp is now available from Firebox.com for £59.99.

Be warned, turning this lamp on and off will not result in an abundance of gold coins.
