Bandai’s Puchi Puchi bubble wrap keyring is hailed as the top stocking filler for 2008.

New company Sprig Toys has topped children’s gift list with its adventure series. The eco-friendly, battery-free, paint-free toy is made from sprigwood, a new childsafe, bio-composite material derived from a mix of recycled wood and reclaimed plastic.

The range captures the natural energy of push and pump action to power the lights and electronics housed within the car - so no batteries are required.

The top gift for him is a Silverlit’s latest R/C helicopter, the Tandem-Z Micro Chopper. The toy is the first twin-rotor micro chopper. Charged via a dual purpose infra red transmitter, the Tandem utilises 3 channels and a dual trim system.

Christian Robinson, MD of Firebox, commented on the foreseen trends: “Eco products have been hugely popular this year due to the current economic climate and growing interest in environmental issues, and we see this trend continuing into Christmas.

“The launch of our new children’s range – Firetots – this year has also been a huge hit, and we are thrilled to be extending the Firebox take on “cool new products with a twist” into the fast growing toddler gift sector”.

The top ten:

Top gift for him - TandemZ-1 Micro Chopper
Top gift for her - Flip Digital Video Camera MINO silver / black
Top gift for eco warriors - Firewinder
Top gift for domestic goddesses - InsideOut Glasses
Top gift for geeks - USB Microscope
Top gift for travellers - Polaroid PoGo Printer
