Some 100 jobs are expected to be lost and facilities will be transferred to Mothercare’s head offices in Watford in the New Year.
ELC’s London office has already been closed and store mergers are likely to take place throughout the UK.
The Brunswick Group, which represents Mothercare said: "The Swindon office will remain as part of the group's operation albeit in a smaller format. Everyone affected by the restructuring was offered an equivalent role at Mothercare's headquarters in Watford."
Mothercare acquired ELC in May for £85m but lost £2.9m in the first 16 weeks of its ownership, on top of a £4.4 million charge for restructuring the business.
A general integration of the Early Learning Centre is proceeding to plan, with 50 Mothercare stores scheduled to carry ELC products through the Christmas period.
