BTHA reports strong start to Toy Fair registration

Wide range of retailers have signed up, with pre-registration numbers ahead of this time last year.

Among the retailers already registered for the 2012 show are JD Williams, WH Smith, Waitrose, Waterstones, Toys R Us, Toymaster, The Entertainer, Tesco, Smyths Toys, Shop Direct, Selfridges, Sainsbury’s,, Next, Mothercare/ELC, John Lewis and Harrods.

Annika Lucy Stiff, ELC/Mothercare buyers assistant, commented: "We love Toy Fair as we can visit all of our suppliers in one location. We plan to attend all three days and are hoping to find new and innovative products from new suppliers which we can introduce for SS13."

Sue Gale from Toybox Toys, said: "I am a small toy business and a sole trader working from my home. I like Toy Fair because all the major toy companies are under one roof."

Buyer Frances Thornicroft, added: "I have just recently started a small business selling product to the childcare industry. I’m attending Toy Fair to increase the product line for my online business."

Toy Fair takes place from January 24th to 26th 2012, at Olympia, London.
