Super-sized versions of two of Bananagrams' best selling games have been snapped up by big name retailers Ocado, Hamleys, Selfridges and Harrods.

The jumbo versions of Bananagrams and Zip-It are being pitched by the firm as the 'must have' outdoor games for the summer.

Jumbo Bananagrams (£49.99) is a giant version of the original international word game phenomenon, while Jumbo Zip-It (£49.99) is a large scale edition of the fast paced two player crossword race, that can be played in as little as 20 seconds.

"We're delighted to have these additional stockists on board with our very popular Jumbo games," said Rena Nathanson, 'top banana' at Bananagrams. "Other games in our range have sold well through these retailers - indeed the original Bananagrams game is in the top ten of all toys sold through Ocado - and if the rumoured 120-day heatwave becomes a reality for the UK this summer, the outdoor play category is sure to see a surge of interest.

"That said, whilst the Jumbo games are perfect for play in the garden, at the beach, in the playground or in the park, they're both equally great fun for rainy day play at home or in the classroom."
