Under the tagline: 'A happy place to shop for toys', Yoyo.com will offer over 20,000 toys, books, video games and collectables, from "classics and best-sellers to hard-to-find and speciality brands."

Yoyo.com is the latest online retail venture from Quidsi, a subsidiary of Amazon.

Quidsi, acquired by Amazon in April this year, also operates the US online stores Daipers.com and Soap.com.

The website currently displays a holding page where customers can sign up to a newsletter to receive launch news and special offers.

Yoyo.com also has a Facebook page and a Twitter account.

It hasn't yet been confirmed if Yoyo.com will operate in the UK.
