Amazon appoints Senior Toy Buyer

The online retailer has made a number of changes to its toy team.

Rhian Munday has joined the team as senior buyer for toys, looking after infant and pre-school, arts and crafts, dolls, plush and vehicles.

Rhian moved over from the firm's housewares department and reports to category manager, Ulrike Wingenter.

Colin Ball has been appointed as instock manager. Ball replaces Penny Payn, who left the firm earlier in the year.

Ball has joined the team from Amazon's DVD department and also reports to Wingenter. Andrew Smithers, instock manager now reports to Ball.

Wingenter continues to run the category and is also looking after the buying for building sets, games, outdoor, and action figures.

Serena Banga remains in her post looking after administration and product set up and Jeremy Hodge still looks after the onsite presentation and implementation of promotional activity.
