Accentuate is toasting a successful first Christmas, with reports of stock flying off shelves in the fourth quarter.

The hard work appears to be paying off for the team who since launch has been spreading the Accentuate word with a series of consumer fairs, as well as demo days at various John Lewis stores.

The result being that the product has reportedly been a sell-out success in John Lewis stores across the UK.

“Every single in-store demo at John Lewis has seen us sell out of stock completely, and in Cambridge, it took less than two hours before all the units had sold,” said Accentuate co-inventor, Fiona Fraser-Bell.

Online retailer, has also seen strong sales of the game, while Amazon’s first stocks sold out quickly in December.

“We are thrilled that this Christmas will be filled with the sound of thousands of people doing bad impressions of good accents, we even hear the John Lewis offices have gone crazy,” added co-inventor, Graeme Fraser-Bell.

“Raucous belly-laughs will ring out as people are put on the spot and forced to face their fears by attempting accents from all over the world.”

The team will be kickstarting its first full year of Accentuate when it exhibits at the upcoming London Toy Fair in January next year and the partnership is looking towards another successful year ahead.

“With repeat orders flooding in from our existing retailers, 2015 already looks set to be phenomenally successful, yet we are excited about making new connections at the show and spreading the Accentuate word even further,” said Graeme Fraser-Bell.

Each Accentuate box comes complete with 90 Accent Cards featuring 30 different accents from around the globe, 90 different Quotation Cards, a timer and a dice to select game play options.

Aimed at four players or more, the game is priced at £19.99.
