Zinc is following up the success of its popular Street Gliders and Smart x Hoverboard with the launch of its new Zinc Smart Power Gliders.

Taking advantage of its lithium technology and maintenance free, motorised wheels, the new innovation allows thrill seekers to glide along at 7mph with up to 10km of continuous ride time.

Zinc currently holds the titles for both number one brand in the UK and number one manufacturer in the UK for its product portfolio.

“Having established ourselves firmly in the lithium electric vehicle market with the success of the Smart range, the Power Gliders represents a meeting of old and new,” said Simon Pickavance, Hy-Pro’s commercial director.

“As a hybrid of our first Zinc product, the Street Glider, adding the most cutting edge technology from our recent achievement in the hoverboard market, we have been able to bring it bang up to date.”

Zinc is now accountable for over 20 per cent of the Skates/Skateboards/Scooters category, a market that in recent years has shown preference for wheeled toys and vehicles with technological advancements.

“The message is clear, every innovation from Zinc encourages young people to be active and spend more time outside,” added Pickavance.

“Our journey began with creating something a little different and the advances in technology have not held us back, but in fact only empowered us to go above and beyond market expectations.

“Zinc has no limitations, and we are very proud of that.”
