A young entrepreneur has taken to Kickstarter to help launch a new board game based on her favourite books.
11 year old Dolly Pickelhaupt was driven to creating Bookworm when she struggled to find a board game that championed her passion for reading.
Pickelhaupt, a student at Lincoln Elementary School, was inspired to create the game by her grandfather, Charles Ellis.
The objective of the game is to find the Bookworm hidden by the librarian somewhere in a bookshelf of over 30 books.
Players must discover which book in the least number of guesses by asking yes or no questions. With each question and answer, books are removed from the shelves, narrowing the choices until the bookworm is found.
The game has seen a number of prototypes and has already garnered interest from numerous Board Game publishers.
The board game has so far achieved $1,992 of its $6,500 goal, with 12 days remaining on the crowdfunding site.
