The Good Toy Guide is reporting an excellent response to its new Retailer of the Month campaign as the firm reveals the winner of the November feature, Midco Toys.

Based in Burton on Trent, Midco Toys and its sister store, Toy Planet in Derby has been selected as the worthy winner of the November initiative for its 'great range of well-merchandised products and knowledgable and friendly sales staff.'

The store has also been commended by the firm for its dedication to in-store events such as its recent Dinosaur Day which gave children the opportunity to come face to face with an animatronic dinosaur in-store, receive goodie bags and their own Adventurer Certificates.

The store also engages in regular gaming events each week as part of its Midco Gaming branch, bringing fans together to compete in games such as Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and Heroclik.

Amanda Gummer of the Good Toy Guide, said: "We are thrilled that the retailer of the month campaign is proving to be such a success, with some great applications coming through this month it was a hard choice.

"It's great to see retailers promoting play and championing good toys."

As November's Retailer of the Month, Midco will receive a host of rewards such as stickers to put on all the good toys in its shop, a certificate to display, plaques to entice customers to the range of good toys and a profile page on goodtoyguide.com.

Graham Hancock of Midco, said: "We are thrilled that all the hard work the team has put in over the year has been recognised.

"Winning this in the run-up to Christmas givs people that extra bit of confidence tht the range we are stocking is high quality.

"Anything like the Good Toy Guide Retailer of the Month initiative is a good thing for independent toy retailers. The more exposure that we can get in the run up to Christmas is always a good thing."

Dave Middleton, MD, Midco, added: "Even Obi-Wan Kenobi can't convince the Stormtroopers that Midco Toys doesn't have the Droids you're looking for.”
