TAGIE Awards 2015 winners revealed

Hasbro's Mark Boudreaux was named Toy Innovator of the Year for the Star Wars Millennium Falcon while Elan Lee, Matthew Inman and Shane Small won Game Innovator of the Year for Exploding Kittens.

The winners for the eighth annual Toy and Game Inventor of the Year (TAGIE) Awards have been announced at ceremony held at the Grand Ballroom at Chicago's Navy Pier.

Hasbro's Mark Boudreaux was named Toy Innovator of the Year for the Star Wars Millennium Falcon while Elan Lee, Matthew Inman and Shane Small won Game Innovator of the Year for Exploding Kittens.

Elsewhere, Build & Imagine's Laurie Peterson picked up the TAGIE for Rising Star Innovator of the Year, Sphero's Adam Wilson and Ian Bernstein were named Digital/Electronic Toy Innovator of the Year for BB-8 while the TAGIE Awards presented its In Memoriam to Richard Knerr and Spud Melin of Wham-O, creators of the Frisbee, Hula Hoop, Slip-N-Slide and more.

The event also saw Richard Maddocks, of Matchbox Toys and Hasbro, pick up a Lifetime Achievement Award.
