Six months after missing its goal on Kickstarter, Simbrix is giving the platform another go.
The product, deemed by its creator as a cross between LEGO and craft beads, has been in development for over three years and is returning to Kickstarter to pre-sell enough packs to fund a first production run.
Back in March, Assim Ishaque launched the first campaign for Simbrix, but the campaign ended before the goal was reached.
Having attended the Inventors Workshop and made some adjustments to the project, including new videos, fresh packaging and a bigger colour range, he is confident that it will be second time lucky.
“I’m a big believer in Kickstarter,” said Ishaque.
“Simbrix has always been about creativity and a shared learning experience. We learned a lot from our first campaign, making improvements to their product and our funding campaign.”
The first ever public test of Simbrix was at the Gamecity Festival in 2014 and the launch of this iteration will take place at the opening of the tenth annual GameCity Festival later this month.
The new Simbrix Kickstarter campaign launches on October 23rd.
