For lovers of robots and financial trading enthusiasts alike, a new game has taken to Kickstarter with the hopes of whetting all your appetites in one.

Robots on the Line is a board game in which players are challenged to build and sell robots in a game described ‘as much about strategy as it is fun.’

Gameplay revolves around a series of printed robot parts moving along two conveyor belts on the production line. Players take turns pulling the robot parts (heads, arms, hands, batteries, antennas and magnets) in order to construct their bots according to the requirements of an ‘inventor’.

Players can then sell their constructed robots and earn money. The game ends when all the tiles are off the line or when a player completes four robots.

True to most businesses strategy, the player with the most money at the end of the game wins.

The game has seen much reconstruction and redesign through the years, and is currently on its 37th version.

With 36 days remaining to reach its target on the crowd funding site, Robot on the Line has already achieved $12,135 of its $40,000 goal.

Supporters of the game who pledge $15 or more to the project will receive an exlcusive Robots on the Line fridge magnet, while those offering $45 upwards will receive one copy of Robots on the Line.

The game is forecast to retail at around $55, however a pledge of $200 or more will fetch you five copies of Robots on the Line delivered to your door, plus a special Thank You recognition on the official Robots on the Line website.

Phil Hunter, the game's creator, said: “We have already seen a lot of good feedback to the game.”
