Plush toys turn into wearable jackets with Hoodsbee

Kickstarter campaign in full swing for toys that transform into hoodies and jackets.

A new collection of plush characters with the power to transform from toys into wearable jackets have landed on Kickstarter.

Called Hoodsbee, the range features a host of animal personalities, including Anchor the Shark, Clobber the Monster and Ribbons the Monkey each adopting the transformative powers to unfold into fleeced hoodies for children.

‘With Hoodsbee, there are so many options,’ read the team’s Kickstarter page.

‘This unique patented technology allows your little one to carry their travel plush buddy, put it on when it’s cold, fold it back up and use it as a head pillow for when they are tired.’

Hoodsbees were originally created by accident, when the team was working on a new hoodie line.

“We were developing ways to connect them into characters,” said the Hoodsbee team, HLL Design.

“We envisioned the hoods to have facial features of the characters, and tried rolling up the body in to the hoodie that resulted in forming the plush toy.

“After we got the concept down, we started to create more characters to build the brand around them.”

The company now has 15 days to secure $25,000 on the crowdsourcing site.
