A new website designed to help generate funding kids product projects has launched at Jumpoff.co.

Crowdsourcing lets large numbers of people pool together to provide big investment for business projects. People can pledge small amounts to fund entrepreneurs, sometimes in return for products or a shareholding in the company.

At the moment Jumpoff has few projects online, and those that are there have little to no pledges for funding – but it’s early days.

Jumpoff co-founder Rhett Power said: “Lets face it: technology, the economy, online shopping – is changing retail, it’s changing the way we’ve done business in the past and how we will do it in the future.

“We started Jumpoff because people should have a say in what’s on store shelves. They should be able to see all the cool products being made by inventors artists and designers, who should have a way to get their products out there. Jumpoff does that – Jumpoff is a gamechanger.”
