The Good Toy Guide has revealed the latest independent toy store to scoop its Retailer of the Month award, Fairies 'n' Frogs in Ampthill.

Fairies ‘n’ Frogs has been handed the award this month for its ‘passion and drive for excellent customer service’ as well as its dedication to in store activity with regular competitions and fundraisers.

The award-winning store also hosts an annual Santa’s Grotto at Christmas, and has raised over £3,000 for local charities.

Run by Luan Hall, Fairies ‘n’ Frogs provides a range of toys for children from birth to nine years of age, with a selection of traditional toys and gifts sourced from local companies, family run and small businesses.

“When customers come in they know they can ask for help, and by asking questions I am able to find the perfect product for them, and if I can’t accommodate their needs, I will advise them the best action, or order it for them,” explained Hall.

“Fairies ‘n’ Frogs is a family business and has been trading for almost four years. Being awarded Retailer of the Month by the Good Toy Guide has just put the icing on the cake for us as a great traditional toy shop I am completely overwhelmed.”

The Good Toy Guide’s Amanda Gummer, said: “We are all about promoting play and championing good toys and we want to support retailers who strive to do the same.

“It’s amazing that such a small independent business can do so much for their local community.”

As Retailer of the Month, Fairies ‘n’ Frogs will receive a bundle of stickers to put on all the Good Toys in store, a certificate to display, a profile page on the Good Toy Guide website and more.
