An IndieGoGo campaign to develop a new Micro Drone the size of your palm has passed $1 million in crowd-sourced funding.
The Extreme Fliers Micro Drone 3.0: Flight in the Palm of Your Hand was launched to the crowd-sourcing site on Tuesday, June 16th with the goal of securing $75,000 in funding.
In just 23 days, the firm has now smashed this goal with the current total standing at $1,104,903 thanks to the support of 8,207 drone fanatics.
With the ability to be controlled via a companion app for iOS, Android or with its radio controller, the new Micro Drone 3.0 boasts the ability to capture HD aerial footage with its in-built camera.
The mini-drone, pictured above next to the hummingbird, is the brainchild of Vernon Kerswell, founder and managing director of Extreme Labs.
