Cryptozoic's Ghostbusters: The Board Game II to begin shipping in May 2017

The crowdfunding campaign to bring Ghostbusters: The Board Game II to retail has come to a close, securing over $760,000 on Kickstarter.

Created by Cryptozoic Entertainment, a firm that specialises in the creation of board games, trading cards and collectables, the new title is expected to begin shipping to backers in the US, Australia and the UK in May next year.

The stand-alone expansion game has been successfully funded thanks to the pledges of 4,385 backers who helped the game to secure a total of $767,000.

The game features 56 miniatures, including courtroom and Slime Blower variations of the original ghostbusters team : Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore and Ray Stantz, the Ecto-1 ambulance, equipment cards as well as custom dice and tokens.

Expansions starring Louis Tully and Slimer as playable characters are also available, as well as an add-on starring The Real Ghostbusters and The Peoplebusters from the hit 1980s cartoon.

The game will be available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Ghostbusters: The Board Game II features an original story by IDW Comics’ Ghostbusters writer Erik Burnham and the artwork of Dan schoening.
